Very First Crochet Project

This is the very first crochet project that I completed. I just started last month and picked this yarn because I thought it was pretty. If I had planned to make a scarf and hat for my daughter's American Girl doll I would have bought a color to match to coat, by my daughter still liked them, and I thought they came out cute for a first attempt.
