I like the bills on these hats to stand out although the new style seems to have them fit down. That has a certain charm as well but this one worked as I wanted.

It's just another one that I made up as I was going along. it actually got too large to be a beanie so I had to rethink it

 

I might just write up this pattern as I would like to repeat it myself. I will post it if I get it written.

Very nice! I prefer bills/brims on hats, in our area it 'drizzles' a lot and they keep the water drops off my glasses

The best trick with the bill is to combine Post stitches and to use HDC instead of Sc at the edges for a couple of rows. Well that worked on this one at least.
