Lacey Bag

The pattern is from a book called Country Crochet & Knitted Lace by Jan Eaton. I thought it would be a fun project and enjoyed the variety of stitches in the lace pattern. The pattern called for DK weight cotton, but I used ww cotton and a larger hook so mine is a bit bigger than the pattern is meant to be.

 

I'm thinking of filling it with fancy soaps/bathroom stuff for a gift... Any other ideas?

It would make a great bracelet bag. Stick a ball of yarn, a hook and a cutter in there. You can work your project from the ball while it's in the bag! Used to be all the rage when my grandma was young!

So pretty! If you are filling it with bathroom stuff you could always put in one of those big bath puffs (can't remember the actual name of it right now) and a bottle of bodywash to go with it along with the fancy soaps and maybe some hand lotion, bath salts and a few little scented candles.
