found grandmother's crochet patterns

I found my grandmothers crochet patterns! They were in the basement! I thought my mom threw them out ! I can't wait to use them! YIPPIE!!!!!

A box full of her old pattern books .. it contains lots of patterns for tablecloths.. dish cloths and doilies using thread. There are even alot of patterns for sweaters and other clothing and afghans. Even some of them that she wrote her own. But since I'm not comfortable with thread crochet I will use up the crochet cotton from sugar and cream.. but was a great surprise since she passed away in 2004. If only she realised how much I regret not wanting to learn while she was trying to teach me.............

I found more, these ones were actually my mom's. She brought these back from thailand when she was moving to the states. These are about 30 years old!None of the instructions are in english so I have to follow the pictures and drawings! She said I can have them!

 

 

 

I'm moving all my stuff to another room so I can have an area for my crochet supplies instead of having all in big containers and I have a nice big shelf to store my pretty yarns...

I looked through those books again.... would be a challange following those patterns :yay:hook they are not in english:lol mom can only translate some of the patterns since those are in thai.. the rest are in japanese

Do the Japanese books have stitch diagrams? They are pretty easy to use once you get the hang of it.
