Hooking For A Cure - UPDATE post #654

"Hooking For A Cure" is an extension of the "Traveling Hook II" Project, by angelfire.

The purpose of this thread is to help angelfire collect more squares to make afghans . The afghans made from these squares will be auctioned at Mission Fish and the proceeds will be donated to the Cancer Research Foundation, in an effort to find a cure for cancer. Please join us with your time and talent, to fight this disease that has touched so many of our lives, families and friends. Please help us make a difference. Every square counts and every square is important. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participates in the very important cause.

 

This Charity event will run from March 1st until March 31st.

All squares will be mailed to me and then after I have sorted and counted, I will forward the squares to angelfire. We will both be assembling the squares into afghans.

We are looking for 8 inch squares in worsted weight yarn (#4 medium). Red Heart SS, Red Heart Classic, Bernat, Caron regular (simply soft is not recommended). Any square pattern to measure 8 inches, but please use the color chart below for the recommended colors. If you can't find a color to match, please try to get as close as you can.
