Granny Squares just got a new name :)

One of the gals I recently taught to crochet completed her first item...a half double crochet baby blanket with a ruffle border. She is extremely proud of it, and I'm very proud of her. She's expecting a baby soon. She said for her next item, she wants me to teach her how to make those....."what do you call them.....grandma holes?" Well.....needless to say it's a funny name for granny squares . I promised her I wasn't making fun...it just struck me so funny...so I shared something with her....I was talking once about someone having triplets, and I could not think of the word, so I called them "3 twins"....and the table of ladies went hysterical!
