the pattern for today - Saturday November 10 is a purse but check out how the edging is done...

 

Would that not make a fantabulous edging for baby blankets and such?

 

I will have to find a place to use that technique.

I just looked before coming here. When I read your post I was thinking, eh not my style purse. However you're so right about the edging. Pretty cool and should be used on an afghan or something.

Thanks for bringing this to my notice. I would never make ( or use ) this bag, but the edging - that's a different matter - I can definitely use that. It's also nice to see that there are others like me who utilise portions of patterns to make something completely different.

I had dismissed that pattern till I read your message. Thanks! I'm always saving patterns just for edgings, but missed that one. Taking the theme from the purse, it would be pretty on an afghan with floral appliques.
