I did not find a pattern. Started out just like AJ's, crocheted into both sides of the chain w. 3sc in each end, did that for 4-5 rows, then just continued w. sc around. Then followed instructions for handles except did ea. in one piece w. increases on one side, decreases on the other. This way I only had to sew the two little strips for the handles

 

I hope that made sense.
