Afghan edging for baby boy

dulcet_ambrosia

Question

I'm making a really simple afghan for a friend who's expecting. My problem is, what edging should I put on it. Right now it's just a double crochet square (I said it was simple:) ), so I want a little more to it. But I don't want it too delicate or girly, since the baby is a boy. What should I use?

I just gave a baby afghan to a friend who was having a boy and I did the same thing, a large dc square. I didn't edge it b/c I didn't want to make it look girly. Boy things are difficult. :sigh

I find that rows of hdc worked Through Back Loop Only is a great (and masculine) edging. Especially if done in three tones of the same colour or all the colours from the blanket.
