Looking for the creator of this pattern

Hi Sorry, I haven't been on in quite awhile. I made up that pattern using two rows of (122) double crochet and then one row of (40) cable stitch. I used the cable stitch found in a booklet I bought at Wal-Mart (I'm sure you can get it other places), Leisure Arts Little Books #75009 Beginners’s Guide Crochet Stitches & Easy Projects. I have searched the web for the cable stitch I used and I can’t find it anywhere. I will try to explain how to do the stitch… sc in first stitch, ch 3, skip 2 sc, sc in next st, turn, sc in 3 chs, sl st in sc made before the ch 3, turn, work behind cable sc in 2 skipped sc, repeat across row, sc in last sc. If you have any other questions, just ask, I will try to answer them in a more timely manner.

  4. I am making this afghan for my son's best friend's first baby boy due any day now, and I just don't know what border to put on this. Has anyone made an afghan using this stitch and if so what border did you use? Thanks for your help.

    Hello from SoCal

Hi, My name is Tammy and I’m a crochetaholic. (Yes, I’m willing to admit my faults!) I have been crocheting for many years, since my grandmother taught me at the age of about 10. I started by making my own Barbie clothes (now I make them for my granddaughters!) I crochet a variety of items from coasters of thread to potholders of cotton to blankets of yarn. I have crocheted many items for various charities and for friends and family. I’ve even sold a few things at craft fairs. I look forward to learning new things and sharing project ideas. Hugs

  13. I entered for the first time last year, and when I picked up my entry there was nothing from the judges either. I went through several forums and several threads and made myself a list of everything that I could find on what the judges were looking for to give me a guideline on what to expect. Good Luck.

Why does this always happen?? Murphys law?

You are preaching to the choir, sister! Murphy's Law sits right on my shoulder!!! I can't even tell you how many times this has happened to me. No matter how many times I check and double check, it's not until after I've done a couple of rows or rounds that I find a mistake, and have to FROG!!!

    ISO Christmas Holly Doily Pattern

Thank you sooo much for the info! You are a gem!
  23. Does anybody recognize this doily? I don't remember the name of the doily. I made this probably in the '80's, probably from 'Magic Crochet' magazine. {I no longer have any pattern books from that far back, they were lost in a move.} Someone wants to make one of these, but I don't know what month or year it appeared in the magazine to tell her where to start looking for the pattern. Thanks for all your help.
