I had to check the link. It looks good.

I think I already mentioned that I loved the color change in the middle so I used it on all of them. The color change starts on Row 9 and continues thru Row 12.

The handle was modified to be longer. I started with a chain of 60 but otherwise followed the pattern.

Thank you again for the pattern. This CAL was alot of fun. I have a table runner and a Fathers Day afghan as WIP's and I need to get back to them. This has been such a wonderful diversion though.

Very pretty Sheryl. I hope you get spring soon. We've been teased with a few very warm days, but then it turns somewhat cold and nasty. It didn't snow here exactly yesterday, but we did get flurries. I'm with you, I want spring! I'm heading up to northern Ontario next week... guess I won't see much spring up there yet either...

Sheryl, they look great! The can pants are all beautiful! I haven't done the color change in the middle...gonna try that if I make another one. I've only made 2 and the 2nd one isn't starched and the handle isn't made.

As I said, I do have a couple of WIP's that need attention.

One of my projects is from freepatterns.com, it is the Dappled Table Runner. You can find it under new patterns near the bottom of the page. Actually I didn't get all my thread yet but it should be here soon. ( I have said that before haven't I:think ) I am making it in blues, greens and purples with white pearls.

The other is an afghan for DH for Fathers Day. It's called Desert Oasis. I got in on Annies Attic Pattern of the Day but I just saw it on freepatterns new patterns page!:hook

While I was surfing the internet yesterday I came across a baby afghan kit at marymaxim.com. It's called Bears on My Blanket. It is so adorable. I ordered it:devil . A lady from work liked it so much she ordered it too. Neither one of us knows anyone having a baby soon, and we already showered the new babies in town with many thing already.

So we're just going to make them and hang on until we need them.:hook :hook :hook:yarn :yarn :yarn .

If any small CAL's come up while I'm doing my other things I will gladly divert for a few days.

Thank you all again for making this such fun.

Hi! May I join?

What is #3 thread? I have #10 cotton thread yarn. Is that the same thing?

I did mine in #10. I did not have any #3. It's fatter than #10. I have such a large stash of #10 that I really wanted to use it up.

For forming the finished project I ended up using a larger sized cinnamon bottle instead of a can. (McCormick/Schilling brand)

Everybodies turnout projects looked great. Good job! Is there going to be another mystery pattern. If so please sign me up for the next one.

Thanks

There will be another one, but it will be a while. I'll be busy the next few weeks. Unless some one else wants to come up with one. :D Glad you're excited for the next one. This one was a ton of fun! :)

I started this post to list all of our pictures:photo...every single one! But then nappy nap time :sleep crept upon me so I'll have to edit this and finish it later. I have also tried to start a gallery:gallery at Flickr but I'm not sure what I'm doing.

  • 2 weeks later...

I am just getting to finish this TODAY!

Hopefully somebody is still watching this thread. This is the first time I have ever used Liquid Starch, does the sticky feeling go away from the item when it dries?

Hey KnicKnac! I just signed in and noticed the thread title had activity!

Yes, the sticky feeling goes away. Just follow Sarah's directions while it's drying. I think she had said to turn it over every couple of hours or so and keep shaping the ruffles.

Will be watching for a pic! Although I noticed on your blog you're waiting for a new camera?? Oh, well, will still be watching for a pic!

Betcha didn't think you'd get a response so fast, huh? I'm trying to wake up some people on the Scripture Afghan CAL but that one's a lot older.

Have a great day! :sun
