Cabled Tea and Mug cozy

I tested this pattern for Lavelle26 in December before Christmas and I absolutely LOVE it!!!! I made a bunch of the mug cozies for friends and family members for Christmas gifts and they all loved them.

 

This set is very quick to work up if your comfortable doing post stitches

 

The pattern is for purchase at here at Lullabies and Lace and the pattern has 3 different sizes for 4 cup, 6 cup and 8 cup tea pots and a 10 inch mug.

 

The first pic is the set, but the Tea cozy is for an 8 cup pot and my pot is a 4 cup,

good excuse for me to get an 8 cup pot I think

 

The second pic is my 4 cup pot all snugglie and happy in the 4 cup cozy

For the blue set, I really don't remember what yarn that is, but I know that it is acrylic worsted,

it was part of a "stash buster" I guess you can say LOL

The red one I think that I just use the regular Red Heart worsted weight.

 

I did make some of the Mug cozies in Sugar and Cream worsted cotton and they turned out really nice also, I just forgot to take pictures of those before I gave them away

I love that they are contemporary or traditional. And it seems you could use any type of yarn or cord!
