:cheer Happy New Year for very shortly: less than an hour to go to 2007 in the UK..!!!:clap :clap :clap

Simply MUST tell you about this scarf- pattern in Jan Eaton's ripple stitch book: I made it in textured and tonal yarns and I wear it with delight EVERY day, I only made it in November 2006!!!

It'son the zigzag scarf post in my blog at

It's super easy in stash yarns, a 7mm hook , using 20 m of a thick yarn per stripe, you can use DK doubled or use 3 strands of the finer wools or yarns.

It's so easy and SUCH FUN to make, I have orders galore from friends already, the next one will be blue-greens....

It's basically a very simple 4 stitch repeat ripple stitch.

The book by the way is lovely and had as many crochet patterns as knitting ones, 2 of each on each pair of pages: ie 4 in all......

Fantastic for using up your YARN STASH!!!!OR giving an excuse to buy more!!!

I bought so many more in creams and greys which I didn't use I 'm going to try freeforming with my new stash!!!:blush

DO let me know if this inspires anyone to have a go at one too????
