My Fat Bottom Bag

This is my fat bottom bag and it is also my first time at posting photos so please bear with me. I really liked the pattern, but I absolutely detested the lining!

After seeing everyone else's bags and how good they all were I just had to make this for myself! I used the Lion Brand cotton yarn in Turquoise. I hope you like it!

Yours turned out great! I know what you mean about the lining. I'm planning to make another, but have been putting it off because I just don't enjoy doing the lining. I love your turquoise color!

but I absolutely detested the lining!

Did you line it after you put on the handle flaps? If so, line the next one before you add the flaps. Trust me its so much easier and you'll wonder why you didn't think of it sooner.

I made the bag with cotton too, but haven't bothered with lining it yet. Somehow it just seemed like too much work.

I love your purse too. I design purses and have just started to try to get mine published. I am working with a gal who has a contract to publish a book and will have 15 projects in it and also has several in this 2007. calendar too.

 

Lining is a pain....so is making the purse strong so it does not stretch all out of wack! Here is my Bling Bling bag I just finished!

So did you sew the lining into it by hand or with a machine? I dont have a machine yet.

I sewed the lining in by hand, it was my 4th attempt. For some reason I kept making it too small! I put it in after I crocheted the handle flaps, but before the actual handles. I was ready to just give up on the whole thing but I finally got it thanks to my husband calming me down! Thank you for all the nice comments!
