Easter Insanity Hat!

...Who cares if its a month late?

I made this hat with Caron Simply Soft and really old marshmallow Peeps. (And really -- who hasn't fantasized about having tooth-achingly sweet candy glued to their heads?)

I sealed the Peeps with acrylic before sticking them on the hat in hopes of keeping the bugs at bay. :lol

You know I saw the picture, and I said to myself - 'are those peeps? those can't be real peeps.' Then I realized that they were, and thought, 'well, they can't be attached to the hat...' :lol Shows what I know, right? They're perfectly adorable, I hope the acrylic keeps them good for a good long time. :cheer

Thanks, everyone! :hug

Ok, how did you "stick" them to the hat????

That is sooo cool :D

Thanks! I used hot glue. There probably would have been a better way to do it... but I was lacking brain power in a pretty big way this weekend! :blush

Hi knit-errant,

I'm not too far from you, I live in Lawrence:)

I love it. If you like peeps check this out: a peep shrine

You'll need to scroll down a bit to see the pictures.

Lawrence, cool! I haven't been there in forever. I need to get back there. ...Come to think of it, I've never even been to Yarn Barn! The travesty! :cry

Thanks for that peeps shrine link! That is just way too nifty! :D
