  1. I am passing this information along to those of you who are well-established doll makers. There is an organization called Feel Better Friends that crocheters can join to create doll look-a-likes for small children undergoing some pretty rough patches in life health-wise, etc. They are in need of some volunteers to help them with their requests. Please see their message below if you are interested and visit their Facebook page to get an idea of what they are looking for. You do not have to be a Facebook member to see their Facebook page. Link to both website and Facebook are below. Thank you for checking this out! "The good news is we have about 150 FBF dolls currently in the making. The bad news is we have OVER 150 doll requests waiting to be made with new requests for sick children coming in daily. If you, or someone you know would be interested in becoming a FBF volunteer please visit our website at www.FBFdolls.org to see how to join. Please share! Thank you!" 8. Summit County here. Buried up to my "cheeks" in snow.
  9. There was a nice write up in the Akron Beacon Journal a week ago that said there was a group of young men at the College of Wooster who have formed a "Bro-chet Society". The paper wrote a nice article on the group. They make hats for charity while watching the football games on tv. http://www.wooster.edu/en/News-and-Events/News-Releases/2009/October/Brochet-Society
