Hello from AZ

Hey everyone. :wave

 

I first learned to crochet from my mom, a lefty, when I was about seven or eight. I lost interest in it for a long time, but picked it back up about two or three years ago. I just love being able to sit and create something that may become a treasured heirloom.

 

I definitely consider myself a beginner. I've made scarves and afghans, a cat toy or two... they've all been in the basic, simple stitches. I would like to start making socks and sweaters but have the worst time with rounds and shaping. Any advice? I'm in awe of the projects I've seen here.

 

I'll have to get my SO to take some photos of the projects I have already done to show.

 

Oh, I guess I should introduce myself. I'm Tricia and I'll be 34 in February. I have spoiled mini-doxie, an even more spoiled long hair cat, a turtle (not quite so spoiled) and five goldfish. Oh, and a darling boyfriend, can't forget him. :bad I live in the suburbs of Phoenix and work weekend nights :thumbsdown at a job I don't really like, but will have to do until I get my degree.

Tricia =) I lived just north of Phx for a few years, been more than a couple of years ago now lol. We lived right on the edge of Tonto Nat'l Forest, what a backyard! (Though I'd bet Del Web has taken over that area by now lol.)
