EEeEeEEEeeeeevil!!!! said in my best Mermaid Man voice <img border=0 src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/lildevil.gif" />

DH was looking over my shoulder while I was clicking those links. I told him it's the same fluff I use now, I just need a few (ha!) inexpensive needles <img border=0 src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/lildevil.gif" /> He's quivering in a corner now.

Seriously though, the first (ladybug) and the last (teddy bear) links were the best examples of how to needle felt that I've seen so far. Until I saw those, I didn't quite understand how you get from point A to point B

Holly

I think I've seen needles at AC Moore.....

OMG look what I started!!! This is incredible. I never thought it would generate this much interest. Thank you Rebecca for the great links. I never knew they existed. And the instructions on the sites are wonderful. I worked on my bear last night. I am hoping to finish her tonight. I only have one leg and one arm left. I will post pics right away. OOOh this is so much fun. Now if I could only get my kit!!! I am going to buy Kool aide today and dye some wool for making a bag, and I can use some for the bears too. Yippee.:bounce

Yes you do Holly!!! Have fun.:rollin

As for getting started...You just need rovings, and some felting needles, a few bandaides and you're set. Let your imagination roam.

I had completely avoided this thread for this long, but I just HAD to peek...I had no clear idea of how in the world this worked, those links really helped....unfortunately ;) These are really neat! I refuse to even look at kits, though, until I do my thread bear, LOL!

That is absolutely too cute!! I have had my kit for almost a week but school and work has kept me from even looking at it. I am going on travel next week so maybe I will take it so that I can work on it an night in the hotel. Here's a question, I am flying but I plan on packing the needles in the suitcase, is that allowed???

Hmph... I think I'm going to have to buy myself a kit for my birthday... I can't wait any longer! (My birthday is next week! :) ...I had been holding off, trying to keep to a budget. I can break my budget a bit for my birthday... can't I?)

Thanks!

No, he's not the mouse, the mouse is still mournfully looking at me, waiting to have his head attached to his body <img border=0 src="http://img28.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/ohdear.gif" />

Yes, Birthdays are good reasons to spoil yourself!!!

Laura- needles, scissors, other sharp things are fine in checked luggage because you can't get to them to use as weapons. Heck, you can even put unloaded guns in checked luggage (need special paperwork though!)

Rebecca, no trying to lure sheepies!!!! <img border=0 src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/lildevil.gif" /> He's going to a good home, I promise!

Okay, I have put it off long enough. Tonight I will join my ballerina bear. I don't know why I am dreading it.

I just got my kit yesterday. I didn't order Lavendar, like I thought I did. I ordered Candy. It's the one that donates a dollar per kit to the Cancer Society.

I have been so in awe of Holly's creations. They are fabulous! Way to go girl!!!:cheer2 :cheer 2:cheer2

I can't wait to see the ballerina bear!!! I've looked at the breast cancer bear too, very cute.

Heather,

My AC Moore had felting needles. I haven't seen them at other craft stores though. I haven't seen roving/loose wool at any craft store.

There are kits and individual supplies on Ebay plus if you look back in this thread, there should be some links to other online sellers.
