It's not as easy to find as I thought it would be lol

I googled, then went to the official web page.

http://www.redheart.com/yarn/super-soft

It seems there's also many sub-categories

http://www.redheart.com/yarn/stardust

You can click the side links for yarn weight which gives color variations

http://www.redheart.com/finder/yarn?filters=tid:61

Here's the Super Saver Line

http://www.redheart.com/finder/yarn?filters=tid:61

Hope that helps, though I'm sure it's not as well defined as you had hoped.

I don't think the numbers mean anything.  And they apparently can change meaning thru time; if you think about it, colors are very much a fashion thing and change from year to year.  I can't remember if it was here or another forum, but someone was asking about a Redheart color number xxx from a 50+ year old RH pattern.  it turns out back then it was varigated red, black and white, now it's varigated military camo colors.  And probably a few other things between then and now (like avocado, harvest gold and orange in 1970 maybe).

You would benefit to write an email directly to Red Heart. The yarn companies are very accommodating to their patrons to assist in all ways. It may take a day or two to get a reply but, they do get back to you.

At the top of their webpage is a little tab titled "Contact Us": Red Heart

They have an on-line catalog that shows colors:

And a list of all yarn and what coordinates:

These are SUPER sites!  Thank you!!

well I hope she has better luck than I did. they use to answer but not now. I wrote about that yarn for the 50 yr old pattern 3 weeks ago, and a week later and yesterday and receive the automated replys right away but no answers.

I wrote about that pattern a number of times with no answers. I found out on my own that yarn was wool which they no longer have and the color in question was a shaded variety, that made a pattern which they no longer have either.

Hope this helps.

Sarisue-

I'm surprised you did not get a response. I got mine through email in about 4 days and several replies over the next 2 days after that.

I recieved a letter from C&C yesterday which said they had answered my emails which I didn't get, which is strange as I got all the automated emails and I get them from other stores.

Anyway It's a shame but they don't keep any records of past products and can't help with any of the questions.
