Shoulder Bag (Felted) in yellow and brown

This is possibly my favourite piece that I've ever made for myself. I love mustard yellow, and couldn't resist buying the yarn when I saw it. It's Patons classic. The pattern is a modified version of this one: http://auntieelle.blogspot.com/2009/01/i-felt-earth-move-handbag.html. I added a few rows, modified the decreases and added a flap with a magnetic closure. I also made the handle longer because I want to be able to put it over my shoulder, even if wearing a winter coat.

 

I am still new to felting, so I made this bag HUGE (it was 20" across non-felted), and it shrunk down to about 13", which is a good size for a purse. I can't wait to start using this in the fall!
