AMEN SISTA!

Tracy~Maybe if you throw his bags outside he'll get the hint. :lol

I was considering that, but he seems a bit strange. He was on the phone with someone this afternoon and it sounded like 2 people talking, one minute he was shouting and the next it was a crying, whinging sound. I don't like messing with people who seem a bit unhinged. :blush I just make sure I have my scissor near me at all times. :lol

Thank you :hug. He would probably run if he just heard there were dogs coming. :D He won't even talk to me anymore since I told him he needs to put his glass jars and tins in the recycling bin outside and not in the normal bin. Now if he wants to know something, he asks Kyla. :lol

Hi ladies!

Tabby~You aren't nosy :lol. I take it as a compliment that you like my colors. :D We're so glad you're back with us.

Linda, it sounds like you had a great day. I used to quilt and still have one with all the pieces cut. :blush Maybe someday I'll get back with it.

Tracy, wish we were closer. The Happy House ladies could escort him and his stuff out of the house. :devil

Hi Wendy~good for you for almost finishing Becky's Blocks. :yay

Hi to Judy, too!

Linda - Glad you had such a great time at the Expo :clap I've never seen a glass nail file before. Try Yahoo maps next time. They seem more accurate than MapQuest :yes

Wendy - Grats on being close to the finish on the BB :clap

Tracy - Have you considered calling the police to escort him out? They do that in the US but I don't know how things work in the UK.

Glad y'all were talking about the time change. I didn't even realize it was that time. I hate daylight savings time :irk It stays daylight until after 9 p.m. during it.

Down to the last 2 rows on the Desert Star :clap:cheer:clap Maybe it'll be done tomorrow or Monday :hook

Night everyone. Yuck! Instead of 9:00 it's 10:00. Where'd the day go?

Krystal - 21 solids for me.

I've come up with a new pattern for a preemie blanket that I'm going to try. It's got 49 squares, 9 of which are 4 color squares. :eek Am I nuts or what? 5 colors in the thing. Now you know why it's a preemie afghan instead of a big one.:rofl :rofl :rofl

Just got home and caught up with the board! Glad everyone had a great day it seems. (except for the roomate thingy)

We just got home from a friends 40th "suprise" birthday party. It was quite the shindig. I lack two rows from finishing my 2nd block.

I think I've learned that dark WIP's into light much better then light into dark. I can see the white stiches on the blue and when I did it the other way it blended much better. This is definitely a "learning" project... No fairs for me. *LOL*

Wendy, my puter is fine this AM...maybe I wore it out yesterday:lol. I'm still going to get a desktop sometime this year. Knowing how impatient I am, it won't be long. I just have to get a new desk first. Working on a small student-type desk now. I love the drawers, but given the fact that I am a huge packrat...well, you can only imagine what they look like:eek

Howdy everyone

Judy I was supposed to be saving for my computer but then I talked DH into getting me one on 12mths interest free terms. It should last me a long time and the 22inch screen is just amazing. It has TV on it as well so I can be in here typing while having the tv going in the corner of the screen. isnt technology wonderful. TV, crochetville and my crochet all here on the desk, what more can I ask for. The girls at work would say that I needed to get a life, but hey I reckon this is the life, what do you think.

There is more to life than that? Are they insane!!! :devil

Thank you everyone for the advice. I think he is actually on his way out. :yay All his stuff is in black bin bags in the passage by the front door. Ok, he has blocked the door into the lounge, but as long as he is out of here today, I will put up with that for a while. We can still get to the stairs and front door through the kitchen (all open plan down here, thank goodness ;)). If he wasn't going today we could involve the police as he is classified as a lodger and you don't need a reason to evict them, they have to go when you tell them and they don't have the same rights as squatters or normal tenants. Strange rules, but fine with me. He was so worried he wasn't going to get his deposit back that he actually spoke to me!! :eek Asked me how long I was going to be in the house, so told him til I find somewhere else to live (looking for 2 bed place so don't have to share). He got rude and stormed off to fetch his deposit from my cousin. :D I promised my cousin I would be nicer to the next lodger, he says that ok, but from now on going to interview and investigate people as he doesn't want weirdos again. :lol

Yup! Certifiable. :loco And you know what? :heehee The 4 color squares are easier to make than some of the special ones for the rooster and your birds. How's that for a laugh? The colors I'm using are Cornmeal, Gold, Paddy Green, a bright yellow green, and White. So far, the biggest hassle is keeping the different colors from getting hopelessly twisted around each other as I'm working with them. And even that hasn't been too bad. :)

I'll bet it's wonderful. It sounds like you're figuring out what works best for you and that is what we've all done, too. :yes
