I got a Kindle for X-mas! I read about them on here and I thought somebody mentioned that there was a monthly subscription for books, does anybody recall the name?

There's no monthly fee, unless you subscribe to a magazine or newspaper. Other than that, you pay as you download.

YAY!! I really wanted a Kindle (it's all I asked for) and was sure that is what my husband got me, but he got me notebook computer instead. I love it though! Guess I'll just have to download books to the notebook...

Yes, you can download Kindle for PCs to your netbook for free, and download books that way to read. I have it on my laptop.
