Snuggly Slippers from Crochet Today Nov/Dec '09

I loved the cluster/bubbles on these and the pompoms on the backs waaaaay cute! I also loved the colours used in the pattern but thought cream coloured soles a tad impractical so I made mine with blue soles and cream for the uppers and I think they came out just as nice as the originals I had to make the soles an extra round wider as I have rather broad feet. Made with JC Brett Denim which is a wool/acrylic mix and Disney "Tigger" yarn for decorative details. 6mm hhok for the soles which are made with 2 strands and 5.5mm for the uppers. I will be adding pompoms tomorrow but now it's 3 am & I really ought to be in bed.

They are lovely and warm too, the double stranded sole makes for a nice warm footbed.

These slippers are so cute. I love the idea of a double stranded sole as my feet are always cold. And I agree a cream colored sole would just be too impractical.
