Scissors Cozy

Someone was seeking a pattern for a scissor cozy and after finally finding one of the cozys I made, I got a pic of it for you.

Scissor cozys can very easily be made from a square. I use 4-5 inch squares, line with a pretty fabric and hand sew in. Fold into a triangle, whip stitch closed and sew on a nice button.

One step that helped was to make a "paper" cozy first to determine what size square to use. Cut a 4 inch, 5 inch and 6 inch square. Fold in a triangle, fold the top flap down and insert the scissors. ;)

Cozy is made with: Aunt Lydia's size 3 thread in Warm Teal.

Reni, The scissors cozy you made is so pretty. Looks so old fashioned. I love the look of older style crochet, you know with lace and fancy buttons and embellishments.
