Having Fun & Getting It Done 2009 - 3rd Quarter!

Recommended Posts

Since it is now July 2nd and the original poster of the having fun & getting it done 2009 cal has not started the third quarter yet I thought I would go on and start it. I hope econ-nerd (the original poster) does not mind me starting this cal. Here is what she has posted in the previous 2 cals:

This CAL/KAL is going to be perpetual throughout the year, and it will be divided quarterly. This thread begins the second quarter. Please list your “To Crochet” or "To Knit" (or both) list for the current quarter either in a response to this thread or in your signature (or both). Anyone can join any time.

Please try to keep your list realistic for your time available. Try to get as much done as you can. Don’t let perfectionism and/or overachieving get in the way. I say that because I’m usually guilty of it. :blush If you don’t finish your list, adjust it for the next quarter. This CAL/KAL is meant to give you a sense of accomplishment, not a sense of guilt. Your list should be at least 5 items but not more than 12. We can always add more to our lists as we get items completed. Just don't overwhelm yourself from the get go!

The first & second quarter was a great success and we managed to knock a bunch of things of our lists :clap

Dates:

First Quarter 2009 - Jan. 1 - Mar. 31

Second Quarter 2009 – Apr. 1 - Jun. 30

Third Quarter 2009 - Jul. 1 - Sept. 30

Fourth Quarter 2009 - Oct. 1 - Dec. 31

Hi gang :manyheart I had major abdominal surgery on June 30 and just returned home this afternoon. I meant to get the new thread done before I was admitted but just didn't get around to it. Sorry but I dropped the ball on this. Thank you for starting the new thread :hug

I have been quite PATHETIC in getting things done!!!

I keep getting distracted ... but in a good way (ie the June charity crochet weekend).

Now I am getting focused! So, I am determined to finish that preschool blanket that everyone is sick of hearing about by now! I have joined the "In July I will" thread for that!

I will finish the coffee cozys for my sons' teachers for Christmas (coffee cozy wrapped around a Dixie coffee cup containing a starbucks card and note from my kids). [i have joined the Christmas 2009 CAL]

I will make two of Crochet dude's travel jewelry pouches. (Thanks for the free pattern Dude!)

And continue down the list in my signature!

I have seen little ami acorns so I thought I'd try to make buckeyes. We are pathetic around her about all things buckeye. Ohio State and all that.

It's also considered lucky to carry one in your pocket.

What do you think, a little ball shape with a lighter color on one end? It would be cool to felt it!
