Wow that is fantastic to have our own category! I still remember when Joy aka SonnetsandStitches first coined the term Plarn which was right here at Crochetville. Thank you so much for all your support of recycled crafting.

Yes Joy aka SonnetsandStitches first coined the term Plarn. She and I were discussing crocheting with plastic bags and some of my patterns. She and her husband made up the term as an easy way to quickly describe the material made form plastic bags. I believe this maybe the first thread about it here. It is dated May 2007.
