What yarn is the same as this??

What yarn is the same as Red Heart luster sheen?

A pattern that I am wanting to work on calls for this, but I dont have it and cant find it.. What I want to use is the Red Heart Carefree Cotton blend.. The pattern that I want to use is for a F hook.. Now to make this pattern with the Red Heart would it be best to use the smaller hook plus the smaller size pattern to make what I am trying to make?

I need to get this done by friday. Would two strands of size 10 thread equal to the size of the lustersheen?

If I remember correctly, the Carefree Cotton is a #4 weight and the Luster Sheen is a #2 weight so they're not exactly interchangeable. I can never find Luster Sheen around here either, have to order online. Two strands of #10 thread sounds good but you'd have to check your gauge. What about a size 5 crochet cotton? I've never used it so I don't know how thick it is but maybe that thickness is close to a #2 weight.

Lustersheen is a fine/fingering weight yarn. It's a number 2 on the number scale:

Patons Grace is a dk weight and it's a number 3.

Red Heart Carefree Cotton is medium and a number 4. You'll get a completely different result using it for your pattern.

Using the yarndex, you can click on fingering and get results for that weight. Maybe there is something there you have or can find in your area:

Vanna's Glamour is a 2. I haven't seen it yet but maybe it's your area:
