Wiggly Hotpads in Thread

This was made with no.10 thread and no. 7 hook. The pattern is from the book - Learn to do Wiggly Crochet.

 

This is my first attempt at wiggly crochet. I found the pattern quite challenging . Maybe this is not a beginner's pattern, or maybe I'll find the next one much easier now that I know how its done.

I have one I started a loooong time ago, I still don't know what I am doing. So I think it isn't a beginner pattern, either. (Well, I'm not a 'beginner', but... it was confusing to me.) Yours turned out great! (I will be glad just to get mine finished....)

I never knew what that kind of crochet was called. My grandmother made chair pads using this technique, with heavier cotton, of course. I'm going to look for the book.

That looks great! I bet it was a challenge to get all those shapes and angles filled in right. Does the book have good charts of the placement?

 

And chair pads are a great idea for this, will have to remember that.
