First Felted Bag

This one took me awhile. It was my first try at felting a bag, and it didn't turn out completely as expected.... so I set it aside for awhile and looked at it now and then to figure out how I was going to make it into something I wanted. I'm pleased with the final result, but if you knew how different my original plan was, you'd laugh!

 

Then I had trouble with the grommets. Then I couldn't figure out how do do the closure. Finally I got it the way I wanted! One more WIP off my list!

 

No pattern. The yarn is Paton's Merino in black and Harvest.

Judy, that is a great looking bag. I've had a design in my head and somehow I'm not able to clearly transfer that to the hook too. I think it looks like you did it on purpose though.

Gorgeous bag!!! I love felted bags. The only one I've made was a big flop, but after reading your post, I think I'll look at it again & see what I can do to save it maybe.
