I have seen a number of times on this site the term "frogging" or "frogged" and I do not get it. Does this mean you messed up and have to rip it out? Where did this term come from or am I just behind the times?

Join the crew. I still muddle with some of the terms I read here. We need a dictionary. I do know there is a list here somewhere.

Don't feel bad, I had NO Idea what this meant for months and months . I even had my DH trying to figure it out. We thought it was an acronym for something.

 

When I finally did find the answer it was like "hit me upside the head with a brick!"

 

I was just to embarassed to ask!

I had no clue what it meant for a while either, that and what the heck "LYS" stood for! It was very frustrating and for the longest time I was too embarrassed to ask

My daughter defined frogging for me as "the one stitch done in ALL handwork: rip it, rip it."
