What is your favorite crochet book?

I really couldn't name one - I love all crochet books! I tend to buy them because they look so interesting and I want the pattern for ONE THING, which I may or may not ever make. But they are cool to look at!

I'll admit it....I'm too cheap to buy books So, I only have two, and I absolutely love them both. '200 Crochet Blocks' by Jan Eaton, and 'Donna Kooler's Encyclopedia of Crochet'.

My crochet book collection is only rivalled by my yarn stash. I LOVE all crochet books, and have been collecting them for years, and years. My faves are usually afghan books.

I like alot of them, although I dont have as many in my stash. I like more than what I have, lol. But so far I have liked them all and not really one more than the other.

As far as instructional books, my favorite is "Teach Me Visually: Crocheting". I refer to it more than any of my other books because the pictures and written instructions are so clear. Donna Kooler's Encyclopedia of crochet is also an excellent one, especially for more advanced techniques.

 

Pattern wise, I love all the books Vanna White has done.

'200 Crochet Blocks' by Jan Eaton, and 'Donna Kooler's Encyclopedia of Crochet' - love them, too.

The S'n'B Happy Hooker was - I felt - much ado about very little.

I like to look at crochet books also even if I don't make anything out of them. I like recipe books also but don't use them either. I also read other books and they don't have anything in them to make (like harlequine books etc) So I can keep on buying crochet books just in case I might make something from them.

i dont have 1 favorite, but i love amigurumi books...

My single favorite is Harmony Guides Vol. 6 300 Crochet Stitches--that is the book I refer to most often.

I too love crochet books. Especially those that I can find at rummage and garage sales. Even if I don't produce any of the items in the book I love looking at them and getting ideas.

I love the Teach Yourself Visually book and I have the SNB but my 80 year old aunt borrows it so much I will probably give it to her!

I buy too many to have a favorite. if I got projects done just from looking at them, there would be no room left in the house. I really don't have a favorite(yet!)
