Almost 3d Butterfly Afghan Pattern

Butterfly Afghan - this one is at Coats & Clarks, it's almost a 3d butterfly. You do the butterflies separate and sew them on after. It looks super easy. And so cute. I'm thinking it looks so easy (you only do 13 butterflies, every other large square) that I could make them for my friends daughters for Christmas.

 

I know some had been looking for butterfly afghans and even 3d ones. I suppose on this one if you didn't sew the wings on, it might be more 3d. Just sew the center... maybe...
