Very pretty adaptation of Giant Granny

I was doing a search of images and I happened upon this very pretty picture so I went in search of the original site.

I guess it is not technically a Giant granny because it has the one round using the small grannies but it sure is purdy

Very, Very purdy and cool. Does anyone know where to get the pattern?

The small grannies appear to be 4 rounds (could be 5)and there are 6 of them so you would want to work a giant granny to the 24th row and then make the 28 small grannies to work around the outside of this. then you just continue the granny pattern from there out.

 

This is a sort of universal "everybody knows the granny" so I wouldn't guess that there is a Pattern per se.

For the pattern, you could also do the smaller granny's and sew them together to make an open square. Then make the center to fit. That's what I'd probably have to do to make it work and fit... ... Then sew the center to the smaller granny's then continue with the outside.
