Two Cool Crochet Things

I'm sure many of you already know about this, but you can sign up to receive the free e-newsletter email called Talking Crochet by Carol Alexander. Here is the link if you are interested http://newsletters.drgnetwork.com/ . I have been getting it for about a year and love it! Always interesting and this month's free motif pattern is really cute. Yes there are some advertisements in it, but it is usually crochet and yarn stuff that you want to know anyway! I didn't get any unwanted spam from signing up for it either.

 

The other thing that is cool, the Michael's website has 50 free patterns available. Some are knit, but a lot of them are crochet, and it's really cute stuff! Here's the link if you are interested. http://www.michaels.com/art/online/projectlist?categoryid=122011&pageNumber=1

Are any of you super fast crocheters who receive the Talking Crochet newsletter able to donate Christmas-related items for the Southern California fire victims? That was in the last newsletter and sounded very worthwhile, except that I will be giving my students their third midterm in a week and then will be busy grading and I'm not sure I could get anything done in time (the deadline is Nov. 30). Too bad, I'd love to try my hand at a Christmas stocking. Patty

Thanks for the links. I've subscribed to the newsletter a couple of times. For some reason they stop coming & I have to subscribe again. I haven't received one in a while so thanks, I just subbed again. Also I haven't checked Michaels projects in a while either.
