First purse ever made

I really love crochet, my mother tried to show me when I was a little girl but it didn't catch on. Now 100 years later I'm learning via the internet and books.

I wish my mother could see me now:angel

..wipe a tear..Enough with the sentimal, on with the show :D

There is a lot a have to learn still, sometimes I follow a pattern and it's doesn't turn out ok. I can't even make a granny square yet but I'm working on it.

Here is a purse I did, very basic stuff. I ch 30 and sc in the back only until I was satisfied with the length. For the handle I did a "cordon" style thing. Don't know the exact theme in english. And I sewed on a embroidered pocket on it.

For your first attempt, it's pretty good. Stiches look even, and so does your gage. I like your purse, nice job.

Thank you.

To tell you the truth I don't follow gages, I don't even know how. And I really love this purse, It's soft and a bit heavy, I used recycled yarn from an old sweater I had.

Your welcome TankG!rl, let me know if it's easy enough for a beginner. I kept the link for the pattern because I love skulls, but didn't try it yet.

Great purse! I really love the texture you got with the ribbing, the size is terrific, and the patch is too cute!

So what's next for you? More purses? Blankets? Hats? Clothes? Can't wait to see what else you come up with :hook !
