  3. Thank you :manyheart...I fell in love with this pattern and just had to make it. It took a little time....my first crochet project but I just loved it so much...I think it took about 3 months to complete......that was about three years ago now.....I'm so glad I stuck it out :hook
  4. Thank you all so much!!!! I really am proud....I wasn't going to enter but changed my mind at the last minute...lucky!!! Anyway.....looking at 2009!! hehheheheh
  5. Hi Guys Thank you for the comments :smile They actually are a big too big BUt they stay up!!!! and feel wonderful...people have often told that once you start wearing handmade socks....you'll never go back....and they are right!!!! The yarn I used was a cheap sock yarn from our chain store - Lincraft (australia). I wanted to try out the pattern before I used a more pricey yarn. It is a combo of wool / nylon........now I know what you are going to say......can't wear wool...hot & ichy BUT they really are fabulous!!! I only wore thin - cotton socks but these are great......better for winter months!!! You should give it go......Thanks again xxxxx Oh BTW: They are a self stripeing yarn....the pattern is designed for this type of yarn so you keep the stripes!!!
  6. Oh gorgeous :clap I really want to make a babette soon.....

Anyway...here it is......BTW: the stole just under was first prize winner....all three where really beautiful!!!
