Yes, I would love to get my hands on this pattern too. Simply gorgeous work!! I love anything with hearts. I think this shawl is going to force me to try filet crochet very soon ... I must have it - LOL! And I too dislike fringe but I never thought about using a different border (duh!). Thanks for that great tip, as well as sharing your pics and the pattern if you can locate it.

If you think the fringe would have looked silly on this, you should have seen the picture in the Crochet! mag it came from... It was done in this bright red and the model was doing one of those 'high fashion' snotty poses with really funky hair...
