Ballerinas ready to dance

Well, Julie’s friends have finally shown up to rehearsal and to do their dance.

 

Problem is they brought the refreshments and want to eat instead of practice.

 

I will now introduce you to Julie’s friends. From left to right – Julie, Lacey-Swan Lake Princess, Wendy-Waltz of the Flowers, and finally Natalie- Nutcracker. They are sitting around a cake with chocolate covered strawberries, and they have some cupcakes also.

 

The cake and cupcakes:cake are from the book Chocolate Sweets and Treats by Gourmet Crochet. The original pattern is made with ww yarn and of course I used thread.

 

Cake – ww 4 ½” tall and 9” across – thread - 2 ½” tall 4” high.

 

Cupcakes – ww 3” W x 4” H – thread 1 ½” W x 1 ½” H

 

They have been told dance first, cakes later.

I love these dolly clothes! I'm new to thread crochet and want to do some (lots) of doll clothes. Kelly, Barbie and others. Your dresses look like there is a shine on them. Is this just regular thread? I'm still learning about the different threads.
