Granite Stitch Scarf

This scarf was a great stashbuster and will be going to my friend in

Scotland. It's getting warmer... oh well.

I used the Love Scarf pattern from CrochetMe.com, found here:

http://www.crochetme.com/love-scarf

Also, to design the horozontal stripes I used the website below to

generate a random stripe pattern. I think next time I will either use

two rows of the same color, or add addtional colors to the scarf so

that the same colors don't end up touching. This created the dashes

in my scarf. http://www.kissyourshadow.com/stripe_maker.php

EDIT

What sort of yarn and weight did you use?

It looks nice! I tend to go for simply soft, but this yarn

looks more expensive?

Short Answer:

Yarn- Acrylic Worsted Weight

Lt Pink- Lions Brand Pound of Love in Pastel Pink

Pink- Unknown

Green- Unknown

Long Answer:

I love simply soft, too. So nice to have an 'understudy' for projects

that have no compatible yarn.

First of all, the scarf is made out of acrylic yarn and it was all bought

from either JoAnn, Wall-Mart, or Michaels. My fancy yarns haven't

made it to the stash pile (yet).

*The light pink is Lions Brand Pound of Love in Pastel Pink.

*The green is sort of a camoflauge color. Seriously, I have searched

everywhere for this hue to no avail. I'm pretty sure it was RHSS and

bought at WallMart and but does not match the current RHSS green

yarns I've seen there. It might be discontinued since I bought it four

years ago. I guess the best match would be a RHSS green or solid

green camo.

*The pink was also a random ball. It was actually 2-ply and I doubled

the lengths. I know I bought it at Michaels and it was a baby yarn.

The color is also something I haven't been able to find but a close

match would be Lions Brand Baby Soft in Bubble Gum.

That's so pretty! Great color choice! I LOVE pink and green together....wear them a lot! The most expensive yarn I ever got had pink and green mixed in it...very pretty! I actually like how the colors "touched" I think it makes them blend nicely together! Great job!:)
