That looks like a very warm hat. I tried to make a similar "easy" baby hat once but I couldn't do the top gathering. It was too thick.

he requested a hat that was long enough to fold over. lol so when the brim is folded it is warmer too.

last year I double knit their hats but he did not like those. they covered his ears but they could not fold up lol. for some reason he likes to fold hats up better. lol

oh well anything for my first born.

I am not about to complain when he says he wants me to make him something lol.

hehe then dh cant complain about crocheting or knitting too much lol lol lol
