I'll be in Kalamazoo for a few days this June. Does that count? <img border=0 src="http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/wink.gif" />

I still call nine and hoover home. I graduated from Warren Lincoln High School (if it sounds familiar, a person whom shall rmain nameless dropped out and became a rapper) a few years ago. Go Abes!!! I don't think much has changed from when we first moved in about 15 years ago. And it is not a bad place most of the time, but it is good to get away sometimes!

Hey, I've heard of Warren Lincoln High...

I went to Regina High School, over on Harper Rd...

yes yes, little Catholic school girl <img border=0 src="http://img28.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/ha.gif" />

I graduated in '98.

My best friends sister just graduated from Regina last year! He graduated from De La Salle, and neither of them could be considered "good cathlolic school kids". In fact, I learned that even though (I think, personally) the educations are better, the kids themelves can get into more trouble!

I think where ever you go, kids will get into trouble <img border=0 src="http://img28.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/boxing_2.gif" />

But I wouldn't trade my education for anything... I want to send my children to private school (hubby went to a public school) but now-a-days, public schools aren't the same as they were back when.

I don't know, we still have years to decide <img border=0 src="http://img28.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/rocking.gif" />

Anyways, my brother went to DeLaSalle '95 as well, and my sister and I graduated from Regina in '98 & '00... We've always gone to private school... St. Anne's Elementary.

I still miss Michigan, but they can have their winters <img border=0 src="http://img28.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/nahnahbooboo.gif" /> I'll stay in sunny Florida!

You could consider home education. There is a wonderful school that you can go through (Christian Liberty Academy). You send in the kids tests and they keep records so that they get a diploma and accrediation for college. We've tried it all, and each had good aspects for different children. I liked having the kids at home, best!

i SERIOUSLY considered homeschooling. although i was going to use calvert....

but (i hope this doesn't sound horrible) i have discovered that i like having my time --- right now it's when the little ones sleep and the older two are at school. i love getting to be the homeroom mom for both of my kids.... getting to be really involved in all the things they do and at the same time, getting a break. make sense:huh

It makes sense to me. My mom was involved throughout my and my sibs school stuff --girl scouts, sports, band, class...--- she eventually became a sub, and then a TA, in the school district. I loved knowing that my mom liked doing things like that for us and with us:fluffy

I don't think it sounds bad to enjoy time to yourself!! We all need it! Even me :bounce I get my time when my hubby goes to work at 3 am. I can stay up as long as I want, take a nap and then get up with the kids. It works cause they are old enough to take care of themselves. Schedules play a big difference in life.

:bounce I'm from Michigan too . . . near Macomb Mall not too far north of Detroit! I know where Belleville is! Our oldest daughter lived there for awhile before she and her hubby moved back to Grand Rapids! Anyway, this is where I'm at! Hope to meet some of you! :grouphug ~Suzanne~

Both of my younger sisters go to EMU. They live on campus. One is an accounting major, and the other is secondary education chemistry/biology major. They enjoy it. What do you think of the place?

And my "permanent" residence (the place I go when MSU is closed for the holidays:lol ) is right off of nine mile between hoover and van dyke :bounce
