Yet another newbie

Hi everyone! My name is Marissa and I'm 15 years old. I just started crocheting in July, and I've fallen in love with it. My great aunt crochets, and she inspired me to learn. I found this board a few days ago, and I just had to join!

 

I haven't made that much - just a few little flowers, some random granny squares, and a scarf. I'm working on an afghan right now.

 

I'm looking forward to posting and getting to know everyone!

Hey Chica, Welcome to the wonderful town of Crochetville! I'm so glad you've come. I think it's neat that we are all different ages....I started to crochet at about 13 and at 33 still love it! You will find that you might put it away for times in your life, but it's always something that you can come back to with fondness! Welcome! That would be neat if you make a topic labeled 'teens' and get other young peoples emails and write back and forth. :2 okay.....my mothering coming out...sorry!!! Do you have a good pattern for a flower to share? I was going to make my daughter (12) a bucket hat and put a flower on it...I have a pattern for the hat, but not the flower...welcome! -PJ:D

Amber - hey! it's cool to meet another girl my age who crochets! I haven't really crocheted many things yet, but so far I've liked making my scarf the best (even though it's ugly, lol.)

I've made scarfs as well. They are very easy, if you have the right yarn! I found Chenille to be a big difficult. OH well.

It is really nice to see a wide range of ages on this board! I hope to see some pictures in the near future. There are many sites that have great beginner patterns on them.
