Blue striped afghan

[Merlot]

Just finished this a little while ago.

 

The pattern came from a Leisure Arts booklet called Scrap Wraps. But, I went out and bought some different blues to go with some I already had. The pattern called for a total of 24 colored stripes. I didn't think about it until I was halfway done, but I chose 7 colors, so it wouldn't work out even. So, I did 28 stripes (4 repetitions.) It came out more square than I wanted, but not too bad, I guess. I was debating about adding fringe. The pattern called for fringe, but that was if it was skinnier. I'm not sure how it would look. I may just leave it alone. I did edge it with a row of single crochet to give it more stability.
