Giant Blanket--Done at last!!!!!!

Alright Ladies (and gentleman)

 

It is with great pride that I (finally) present to you my finished giant blanket.

 

Drum Roll, please.

 

 

It took 6 months (off and on). Disaster was averted many times as the ombre color is no longer made, forcing me to search the web for ANY remaining skeins. I have no idea how many skeins (simply soft dark country blue, and brocade print) it took. I'd probably say somewhere near the 20 mark for the brocade.

 

It was done holding two strands together in hdc. The top and bottom have three rows of alternating holes. And the edging was done in spike stitch.

 

It is a VERY heavy and very warm blanket

That is VERY pretty ! And I've never seen that brocade print before ! How big did it turn out, bed sized ? It looks really warm .

Yeah it's odd sized, bigger than a queen sized bed, but not big enough to be a bed spread. It's a little narrower than my duvet, but about as long as it.
