Alice Merlino's Crochet Heart Scarf

I made this using Alice Merlino's free pattern (which you can get here).

 

I used a 3.75 mm hook for the body of the scarf to go with the yarn I was working with. I used a 4.5 mm hook for the sc edging and added a 13th motif to each side. As such, the scarf is a bit longer than I had expected, but I'm hoping my mom likes it anyway. I used some Manos del Uruguay I had purchased for a special project that didn't quite work out, but I think the yarn worked well here.
