my version of the sock monkey hat

My step-daughter asked me to make her a "different" hat for her birthday present, so we went searching on Ravelry for ideas. She fell in love with the sock monkey hat...nobody at school has one and she wanted something to stand out. (hey, she's 14...gotta love her for being not like everybody else at that age!!)

So after frogging a couple times to get it not looking funky, here's what i came up with (she loved it by the way!!) I used Bernat Denimstyle in sweatshirt, and Impeccable Loops & Threads in dark purple, and i think the white is RHSS. I used ami solid black eyes too, and cut the step off on the inside.

Good job on the hat, but I sure don't understand why they are (sock monkey) so popular. But then, everyone is different in their tastes And good for her being different than everyone else!!!
