Large dolls

I found a pattern, at a yard sale this summer, from Mary Maxim for her Bashful Buddys. So I decided to make two dolls from it and give them jointed arms and legs so they can sit down instead of standing up. I made one an amish girl and the other just a plain girl doll. I found the wigs at the local thrift store and thought they turned out pretty good. They are 35" tall and wear a size 2 in children's clothes.

Those are great! I'm especially drawn to the Amish doll. Love anything Amish.

I love anything Amish too especially since that is my Dad's background. My siblings and I weren't raised that way but I do have relatives that wear the black bonnets, aprons, etc., as well as relatives who are Mennonites.

We have traced our family tree right to a Nicholas Cober who came to Canada in 1775 with his wife Eve Fisher. They came from Sommerset County in Pennslyvania. He is my seven greats grandfather.
