I made the dress from #30 for another doll, dyed the dress, and it shrank. This doll has a wheel in her back that draws in a grow hair pony tail. If anyone knows who she is, please let me know.

If I remember there was a Crissey with a grow pony tail.

Here are a couple of web sites.

This one tells you all about the doll.

There seems to be 2 versions. One with a pull string and one with a wheel.

Love the dress and hat. The shawl sets it off perfectly.

I remember having a doll called Tressy and her cousin was Chrissy - something like that - I had a key that I would put in her back and turn it and thats how her hair would grow or get shorter.

I loved that doll :cheer

I don't think she's a Crissy doll because I've collected dolls since I was a small child and I have the whole Crissy set with Velvet being my fav. I wish the photo showed the face, but I'm guessing that she's the size of a barbie like doll. Is she marked by any chance? The Crissy dolls are marked"Ideal".

If anyone has a doll that you're wondering about, I'm pretty good with identifying them.

Thanks for all the responses. Sorry about the face, I had other pictures but just didn't think. She is 8 inches tall and marked only China. She has painted brown shoes and wore a purple ankle length dress. She's not very pretty, and I used the picture to show her outfit. The wheel goes into her body, different from Crissy. And I also forgot, her cape is from Donna's Designs' 1950's Barbie outfit.
