Need gift ideas for a 1 yr old girl

A one year old girl who has everything.

 

It's for an old work friend whom I don't see anymore but we occationally talk on the phone. I guess I could just stick cash in a card, but I have tons of yarn and would rather use that up.

 

The only idea I could come up with is a poncho for this fall/winter.

A 4 foot across round ripple. I bet she doesn't have one of those.

A crocheted old fashion teddy bear.

A nice sweater, a baby doll dressed in a crocheted outfit, a poncho with a matching hat, a big round ripple afghan, doll clothing, and many other things would be great gifts for a one year old. Look at some of the free sights and I am sure you can come up with an idea for a gift.

 

Oh, slippers, a bathrobe, and other things also make great gifts.

A matching poncho for her and a doll would work too. Small cute purses (seen a couple that are shaped as animals or flowers).

I am thinking the same thing...an outfit for a doll too. Or a popular childrens book and crochet an animal or article that would go with the book.

What about a starghan in her favorite colors or little girl colors??? I just made one for a coworkers 1 yr old grand daughter and she loved it.

I think some of the suggestions are too old for a 1-year old. A one-piece doll, or cuddly blanket would be good, but not doll clothes. Remember if you weave ribbons in the blanket, be sure to tack down the ribbon. Be sure to embroider features on dolls or teddy bears. Button are a choking hazard and long ribbons can be a strangulation hazard.

What about a box and blocks? At one they like to stack things.

 

Maybe a crocheted purse with 'accessories" play lipstick, compact, keys.

I like this idea. I would make it in bright girly colors and put a nice ruffle on the edge. Make it bigger than a baby size, so that it can be used for a few years.
