Lazy Person's Crocheted Purse

Finally got around to making a purse for me. I got a brilliant idea from JD at

Love the things she finds, and this one was to take a blank purse and make different covers for it. I cut out heavy clear plastic, sewed it together, and then made a cover. I used fleece for the front, back and front of flap, but crocheted the sides, inside flap and ties.

It is not exactly the way I want it, but I am pleased so far.

Yours looks cute! Did you make it so you can change the outside?

I was going to do the crochet purse over bag thing because I don't do lining very well. there are canvas bags in the craft stores (Micheals) and I even found one at a dollar store I was going to cover.

Thanks, guys. Yes-I can take that cover off and put another one on. I am the person who had the same black purse for 11 years. It finally gave up the ghost. So with this new base of clear plastic, I can leave everything in the clear plastic and change the outside.
